A single day update for physiotherapists currently using acupuncture. 

Commonly used points will be revised and some less common, but very useful additional points taught.  There is time for revision of needling skills and looking at methods to stimulate Deqi.  Meridian pathways and their links to outpatient symptoms will be revised and discussed and then determine how to select effective points from both Western (pain) and TCM (Qi and pathogens) models. 

Content: 

  • Revision of meridian pathways
  • Common treatment protocols
  • Introduction to western needling techniques including trigger points, and periosteal needling.
  • Selecting effective points
  • Treatment progression

Who is this course aimed at?

This course is aimed at all those who are regularly and confidently using acupuncture.

Participants must have completed a basic acupuncture course.
