These workshops with Roger
Kerry will present a concise summary of the literature on cervical arterial
dysfunction in relation to manual therapy of the cervical spine, including vertebrobasilar insufficiency. It will raise important issues for discussion
and present a proposed revised approach to the assessment of cervical arterial
dysfunction. Theory will be closely tied into case examples to
contextualise the information. Roger will then follow this up with the practical
aspects on testing procedure which will also include cranial nerve testing.
These workshops are essential
for any professional involved in the assessment and management of patients with
cervical spine pain.
Roger Kerry is a Lecturer in
Physiotherapy Education at the University of Nottingham. His clinical and
research interests include haemodynamics, manual therapy, clinical reasoning,
and education. He has published and presented internationally in the subjects
of haemodynamics and manual therapy. Over the past two years, Roger has lead an
international team of experts through a review of literature and development of
an assessment framework for cervical arterial dysfunction. Who is this course aimed at?
This course is aimed at all those who are involved in the assessment and
treatment of neck pain including physiotherapists, osteopaths, chiropractors,
sports therapists and sports rehabilitators.
