The Series

reviews)Click here to apply
We are delighted to announce the series will
now start in Sept 08. We have adjusted things slightly so it is now a 2 days
series, please see all dates are below.
This course has been changed from a Level 1
and Level 2 course to a comprehensive two day series
Ron, formerly the principal soft tissue therapist with the
Australian ballet has developed this amazing technique to allow athletes to continue
training but gain the benefits of off loading taping. It provides
INSTANT pain
relief and increases in range of movement up to full range of movement. The effects are often dramatic.
To see it in action go to www.fft.net.au
and see the testimonials. If you want a CD which
demonstrates the techniques and shows it in action then

and we will send one out to you
What is FFT?
FFT is a unique way to create an immediate analgesic effect and increase
range of movement, facilitating rehabilitation to assist the function of
musculoskeletal pathologies. FFT is a NON-INVASIVE and cost-effective form of
treatment that can be applied to most regions of the body. Through an innovative
method of application and the functional nature of its use FFT creates an
immediate effect which can allow the patient to progress their rehab, do their
exercises, live their life without pain. We are normally fairly conservative at
PhysioUK about extolling the benefits of a technique but this is fab stuff. It
incorporates aspects of other approaches used by Physiotherapy, Osteopathy and Soft
Tissue Therapy, but is unique in many ways and was founded and refined by Ron Alexander during his time with the
Australian Ballet.
Ron has presented FFT to the International Olympic Committee World Congress
and the Fifth Interdisciplinary World Congress on Lower Back and Pelvic Pain,
endorsed by the UN and the World Health Organisation. The similarity of FFT to
Jenny McConnell's great taping technique is the use of rigid tape to create
load and stretch tissues with the ability to remove pain which is applied to
specific areas. However FFT can be applied to virtually any area of the body.
Why is the course run as a series?
Previously the course was run as a 1 1/2 day course with an optional 1 day
follow up. Unfortunately if people weren't able to make the follow up
their use of the technique was intermittent as they found aspects difficult, or
did not fully know how to adapt or progress the technique. As a result after
much discussion we have decided to change the structure of the course so there
is a large degree on continuity and plenty of time for practice and
consolidation. We believe this should be far better for participants so they
gain a lot more form the course.
Who is this course aimed at ?
It would be excellent for therapist who deals with patients in pain, both
within a hospital setting and in the sporting environment. NOTE FOR STUDENTS: The
course is suitable for final year physio / osteo / chiro / sports therapy /
sports rehabilitator students only.
