The June date has had to bee withdrawn as Anne Marie is
now away in June. We will be announcing dates for the end of the year very soon.
These evening sessions will mix lectures and practical sessions. The
aim is firstly to give participants a working functional knowledge of foot
biomechanics. This knowledge is then discussed in relation to orthotics and
their prescription. This is then continued on the second evening in observation and analysis
of the gait cycle allowing application of previously observed biomechanical
problems through the gait cycle. The overall aim is to familiarise
clinicians with assessing foot biomechanics and through clinical reasoning their
influence on presenting patient symptoms.
Anne Marie is an experienced podiatrist who works extremely closely with
physiotherapists in her clinical practice. The evenings are aimed as both an
excellent introduction to those needing to improve both their knowledge and
skill within this area and a good refresher for those with a working knowledge
of gait analysis and foot biomechanics.
