Course Description
This evening
lecture will cover the cognitive skills required for clients to learn specific
motor control exercises. The results of two original RCT’s (acute & chronic
pain) will be discussed with reference to the characteristics of the subjects in
the studies who did and did not respond to the motor control exercise
intervention. The Motor Control Abilities Questionnaire is a new tool that has
been developed to identify who can and cannot learn specific motor control
exercises. The development and clinical application of this took will be
covered.
Alternative
rehabilitation options for people who do not respond to specific motor control
exercise will also be discussed.
